Amy believes that the therapist serves as a guide to provide illumination, direction, and discovery. She enjoys working with pre-teens, adolescents, and adults, and is a passionate advocate for those who are struggling to find their footing in these trying times. She is experienced in adolescent issues including academic concerns such as truancy and academic decline, low self-efficacy, adjustment issues, conflict in the family dynamic, grief and loss, self-injurious behavior, anxiety, depression, and suicidality. She enjoys working with parents and caregivers in order to provide tools, facilitate more positive interactions, and increase adaptive communication in the family unit. Amy will be offering therapy in-person or online to help make counseling accessible to as many people during the pandemic.
